Clean but sterile ! Nothing that would entice us to come back I'm afraid. Value for money I think we could have chosen better.

My husband and i stayed for two nights over the Easter period. We were barely in the room as we were at the market, shopping, walking, sightseing and fishing. It was a relaxing room to come home to and suited our needs. It was lovely to go to sleep and wake up to the crashing waves, and smell the sea air. I would recommend "Blue Seas" to anyone wanting a motel and we would certainly stay again.

It was right on the Esplanade, across from the sea. Very quiet ! Near the Dolphin Encounter office. Also close to Piers Hotel where we had a nice dinner, also on the way to the seal colony and the world famous Kaikoura seafood bbq. We had a 530am dolphin swim and easily got back at 930am to shower and dress up. Geoff and Carol lent us towels for the swim and even allowed us to go beyond 10am check out if needed. They are nice hosts! Room is very spacious, clean, decent and comfy. There isnt much choice of accommodations in Kaikoura and many of them are on beach road, the main busy highway which doesnt have a seaview. This is the place to stay especially if you have a car.

The location just across from the beach is excellent, and from our corner unit we had superb views of mountains and sea. The kitchen facilities were very good, and the large bathroom with spa bath was a treat. The managers were very helpful, the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean and nice.
No complaints - we really loved the place.

Large room with 2 double beds, good kitchen facilities. Quiet location and lovely position, view of the sea and sound of the waves.
Quite a long walk to town and restaurants - perhaps a little more than the 20 minutes quoted.
